v-neck
Took a few tries (had to rip back a bit due to shoulder miscalculation) but I finished knitting up the yoke the other night and joined the shoulders with a three-needle bindoff. Something about the shape of the neckline in this particular sweater really tickles my fancy!
Then came some nice twisted ribbing. Works really well with this tweedy yarn. Too bad the dressform kind of lacks shoulders, it makes it look like they’re falling off! Needs a good blocking to help everything relax.
The seamless set-in sleeve technique that I’m using is from Elizabeth Zimmermann’s Knitting Workshop.

I love that curving neck line. You can never go wrong with a twisted rib!
I love the way the neckline curves! All the great things about a V-neck, but softened just a bit.
Twisted ribbing and natural coloured tweeds are two of my favourites. Always a winning combination! This looks lovely
It is a gorgeous neckline – definitely ticking-one’s-fancy worth!
Oh and doing seamless set-in sleeves are a pain in the butt, no matter which way you do it: but you can’t argue with the result though! Personally I’m a sucker for set-in sleeves and if it eliminates seaming, hey, sign me up!!
Regardless, the cardigan looks absolutely gorgeous.
Looks great! Thanks for the tip on the sleeve cap shaping–that’s another EZ resource to add to my library!
Very pretty, and I like the look of the yarn!
I love how neat it looks!
This is lovely! Will you be sharing the pattern with us soon — I hope?
