plain and simple socks

Tuesday, September 20th, 2011 | design, finished object, knitting, socks

I’ve been knitting and knitting, and though things are coming off my needles pretty well, I just haven’t been very good at photographing them (or weaving in ends).

I did, however, manage to knit up this pair of socks for my fella pretty quickly before it started getting cool at night.

plain and simple

1 skein of Malabrigo Sock in Cote D’Azure, which is just a really perfect navy with just a bit of variation. Of course, though I got both socks out of one skein, they look pretty different from each other! One is much more solid. Anyway, I knit this on 2mm needles, my standard top-down, gusset heel pattern over 72 stitches in 3×1 ribbing.

I do have lots of new patterns coming up, including some fun and quick accessories that I’m really pleased with! One of which is out of these luscious yarns:

Mmmmmm. I looooove knitting with this yarn!

I love the navy- although the different colors within on skein is a bit strange. Just tell him that it adds character!

Love them! I think I just found the pattern to use for my newly purchased TFA yarn – but for me!
Looking forward to pulling out your book and my needles tonight to cast on (I’ll do them top down though I do love toe up)

Great socks! I can’t wait to see what else you come up with.
