orange socks
I can’t believe it’s already near the middle of August. I’m happy that fall is coming (this summer has been horrendously hot!), but the summer has just flown by. I’m knitting a ton of sweaters right now and hopefully I’ll be able to share them with you sooner rather than later.
I’ve had this skein of Socks that Rock lightweight wound into a cake forever, and wouldn’t you know it, I lost the ball band. So I have no idea what colourway it is. I remember that I wanted to buy Oregon Red Clover Honey, but I know I ended up with that one in mediumweight, not lightweight. I want to say it’s Muckity Muck, but I could be totally wrong.
Plain but satisfying. 68 sts on 2.25mm needles, 3×1 ribbing for the leg and top of the foot. Good, quick, fun socks. And with just a tiny bit left over.
I’m off to Halifax on vacation this week. Stay cool!

I love the orange socks. The simple rib patterning lets the color really come thru.
Oooh, they’re so pretty! I really like the color – too bad you can’t remember the name.
I love that colorway- just in between brown and orange. And they look super comfy and warm, too!

I love your orange socks! It has been a while since I’ve knit with STR. Maybe I need to do a little sock yarn shopping.

Such lovely socks. Now I want to ditch all my complicated socks and go for something simple instead.

Great socks! Love the color. I’m working on getting socks to look- tight? Crisp? No, wrong words. Well, less like mine and more like yours. I’ve been working so hard at it that Teach Yourself Sock Knitting fell apart from use. The nice people at the kinkos spiral bound it for me and I’m back in business with some beautiful Araucania I got in Chile earlier this year.
