You should go on the London Eye. It was a little pricey when I was there (12 pounds) and it was the end of the day, so I didn’t go, but I wish I had, and if you’re into views, it’ll be amazing.

oooh I went to the Iknit day last year and it was fab. I think it will be even better this year. I can’t wait. I recommend going to Liberty and to Borough Market in London. Can I suggest you also visit Glasgow- only 40 minutes on the train from Edinburgh and there’s a great cafe next to the first K1 yarns!

Dr. Horrible was a lot of fun to watch, though be careful. The music is strangely (maybe even horribly) addictive. I need to make sure I have my iPod around in case it gets stuck in my head.

That vacation should be a blast!

I hope you are feeling better! If it is still open, go to Giverny to see Monet’s gardens. Musee D’Orsay is also a must , my favorite…. Chocolate and macarrons from Pierre Herme (72, rue Bonaparte – St germain des pres. Not cheap at all, but SO GOOOOOD, the BEST), Laduree, Spices and jams from l’Epicerie (small shop at Il de St Louis). It is beautiful! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Paris, I just think it is the most beautiful city in the world….

Check out Royal Court Apartments for London. I paid about $80 a night for a room which had two beds and a kitchenette and it’s right by Hyde Park so you can walk to a lot of places. I booked through expedia and got a pretty good deal.

look for JK Rowling in Edinburgh. That’s what I’d be doing. Enjoy your trip.

Ah Paris. My favorite. Musee D’Orsay is wonderful. Sacre Couer in Montmarte
incredible. Bon Marche department store has a wonderful yarn department. Walk down the Champs Elyssee. Tourisme Hotel on LaMotte Piquet is very reasonable and they speak English. Great location.

Glad to hear you’re feeling better. But I hope you got an x-ray? I fell down one time (I think it was a Saturday or Sunday), thought I was okay (denial!) and then went to the doctor (of course, the latest possible appointment on a Friday afternoon)… found out I fractured my foot in TWO places. I had to wait until Monday to get a cast since I waited too long to see a doctor. You don’t want to go through that, I promise!

I’ve been away and just learned of your injury. I hope you get well soon! As fo the to-do list, I highly recommend the Moo Cards. I am uttely hooked on them. I can’t even comment on your great vacation – - I’m speechless. Have a fantastic time.

If I can add my two cents about Paris. My spouse is French. If you like ice cream, there is Berthillon on l’Ile St-Louis. And then there is La Maison du chocolat that makes good dark chocolates. I have some more suggestions but the links are on my computer at home. Please let me know if you need more.

When I was in London, I made a trip to see Stonehenge and it was pretty cool. I took the National Rail from Waterloo station and it was very convenient, fast, and affordable. Cheaper than joining a group and you’ll save time by leaving whenever you want. I’m not sure if you’re into historical landmarks, but I thought it was a beautiful place, so happy I went. It’s one of the 7 wonders of the medieval world, it was worth seeing. You’ll love Paris, I was so excited to see the Mona Lisa.

I bought some Manos silk blend to make the B-Side cardigan, can’t wait to start! Hope your ankle recovers soon!

I hope you’re planning a trip to Liberty’s in London. The fabrics are amazing. The London Eye is great. Walk down Carnaby St and/or Portobello Rd. National Gallery for art (and have afternoon tea in their National Dining Rm. It’s delicious!) You can’t go wrong seeing anything in Paris: Pont Neuf, Notre Dame, Marais district. Eat EVERYTHING, especially pastries. Pere La Chaise cemetery is actually very interesting. Sarah Bernhardt, Chopin, Pissaro, Oscar Wilde, Jim Morrison all buried there.

When me and my boyfriend were in Paris, we stayed at Hotel des Allies, which is in the Latin Quarter close to the Jardin du Luxembourg and Gare Montparnasse. It’s very cheap, has free internet access in the lobby, the staff are friendly (and speak English!) and the neighbourhood is absolutely charming – there’s a small market not far from there where they sell fruit every day. Also lots of nice, non-expensive cafés. There isn’t any toilet in the room, but there’s a sink and a small balcony. I highly recommend it and would stay there again.

How fun! I’ve only been to Scotland once, but I loved it. Glasgow, Balloch, Edinburgh, Sterling, *sigh*. I’ve wanted to go back ever since. I hope you have a wonderful time!

Me and a friend are also going to Paris, in September, and managed to find super cheap accomodation. I’m not sure what it’ll be like, as *very* cheap, I think we’re paying £13 a night, but all we want is a bed so hopefully will be fine! My Paris suggestion: wander around Montmartre (metro Abesses) and look for the fabric and yarn shops! Lots of cool little ones to find and explore. Need some great Paris veggie restaurant recommendations? let me know!
