Carter Cardigan*
I know you guys have been waiting very, very patiently for this one!

Carter Cardigan
Feeling the chill? Cozy cables are just what you need! The ribbony Sheepfold Cable runs up the fronts of this aran weight cardigan, flanked by tiny three stitch braids that are echoed on the sleeves. A tidy garter stitch waist detail adorns the otherwise simple and easy back. Functional pockets and a mini shawl collar complete this classic everyday cardigan.
Many thanks to Jesh, Suzanne and Dr. Steph for test knitting and input!

*here is where I reveal my extreme dorkitude and admit that I have been watching Stargate: SG-1 for the past several months. From beginning to end. All 10 seasons, plus the two movies. I just finished this week, and I already miss it!

Oh hooray! I’m so excited! This is a wonderful cardigan and I can’t wait to knit it up
And don’t feel dorky. I just finished up all the Battlestar Galactica seasons and am starting Stargate:SG-1 soon. Funny thing is, I’m not really a SciFi fan

I think Sam would love to own a sweater like that.
That is gorgeous! Love the color! Love the chart! My husband has watch all of the SG-1s. I found them pretty entertaining.
It looks beautiful!
lovely! i adore that cable!
Love the new pattern and might love the name even more. I’m such a fan of SG1 too.
Beautiful Cardigan. And I show my geekiness by admitting that the moment I saw “Carter” in the title, I thought of SG-1.
For that reason. This cardi is on my list for a winter knit.
It’s really lovely, and you look stunning in that color!
As far as SciFi goes, my dad used to make me watch Star Trek with him when I was little, so it’s definitely part of my cultural background
but I never kept up with the newer shows. Still, being a dork is so much fun – don’t reject it!
It’s beautiful! Another great pattern! Congratulations! If I could finish Thermal, I could start another sweater
I like the fill-in forms of the pattern. First time I hear about that. Interesting!

I’m doing the same thing and am on Season 9, watching them all for the first time.
The sweater is lovely, are you making a Varla one too?
OMG. I’m not big on buying individual patterns, but I have to have this one. I’ve just got to get a couple things out of the way first. The attention to detail is fabulous!!!
Okay, not only do I love this cardigan, but I love the namesake. I’ve been watching SG-1 too! We’re on season 8 right now, and I know I’m going to miss these characters when we’re done. They’re like old friends.
The sweater is wonderful! Thank you for making the pattern available in a 30 inch circumference. So often knitwear designers overlook small sizes. Thank you.
The fill-in form is so cool! Thank you!
Nice sweater! And SG-1 is awesome! So many great episodes! I’m particularly fond of the one where Jack and Teal’c keep reliving the same day over and over again.
Great job –as usual!!!!!
Gorgeous sweater – so flattering on you too!

You could always start Stargate: Atlantis! Sweater looks great! I’m nearly finished with your Lucy in the Sky sweater and am really lookig forward to wearing it!
Wow. This is one beautiful sweater, and cardigans are definitely my favorite!
Oh man, I love this photoshoot. The gloves are what make it.

You’re going to be keeping me very busy knitting this year it looks like! Love the new pattern.

If you are a dork, that makes two of us! I am on season 9 right now, and I am already sad that there is only one more season to go! Sam would look great in this sweater, wouldn’t she?
That looks great!! I love those pockets and the garter stitch detail on the back. Very nice design! : )
Gorgeous! Especially in red! I am a sucker for cables and I love this cardi!
Well, I do love the cardigan, but I am here for the SG-1 love–I’m working through it on Hulu at the moment, but my winter break knitting took me through 2 1/2 seasons, and my Very First Self-Designed Garment I believe will be television inspired. Assuming I ever get around to knitting it, that is . . . I’ve had the yarn for the Drusilla Vest since August and the idea for even longer, but I’m apparently scared to get started on the damn thing.
Very nice! I love the colour that you chose which makes the pattern even more special! Question: Have you planned for any negative or positive ease in this pattern? Which is best?
Very nice indeed. You look great in red and this shade is gorgeous!

hey, I’m usually a lurker here, but I LOVE that you “confessed” to your love of Stargate SG-1. I’m with you, all the way!
And currently working my way through the series…for the second time!
Beautiful sweater, too.

What a beautiful cardigan! If you’re an SG-1 fan, you should check out Farscape next!
Maybe next pattern design could incorporate a stargate. Or a stargate address.
Oh the possibilities!
