birthday yarn
Thanks for the birthday wishes and the compliments on the corset top!
So what did I buy myself for my birthday (ha, everything I buy is for me anyway. just another way to justify blowing money on yarn…)?
Some Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Worsted in “Vera”, for a boobholder, sans puffy sleeves.
A ball winder, cuz if you’ve got a swift, you need a winder, right? I also got the new Interweave, and then armed with a gift card, I bought the New Moosewood Cookbook. Yum.
I’ve started another pair of socks, a boring pair that I can take along with me on the subway and such. They’re Knitpicks Sock Garden, and they are SO SOFT.
But, I’m also working on a store sample, a raglan pullover using luscious Hand Maiden Stretto. So that’ll be my big project for the next little while. Luckily I can work on it in my air-conditioned home.
Stay cool!

Happy Belated Birthday! The yarn winder and lorna’s laces are excellent self-birthday gifts. Any excuse to blow money on yarn is a good one!
Happy Birthday! I love that you got a home-made swift. What a gift! You picked some beautiful yarn
Belated Happy Birthday! The sock looks good … I really am tempted to buy some of that sock yarn. You’re going to love your ball winder. I was gifted one last month for my birthday and LOVE it. Its fun to use too! *lol*
Oooh! I love the Moosewood series!! Yum!
