I've been knitting for years and I find this pattern very tricky and awful to follow. First the worded version of the pattern says to knit for the first 5 rows but the chart shows alternating knitting and perling. I followed the worded version. Also, I find rows 6-16 hard to follow. With 251 stitces on the needle, if I make one little mistake then the entire row is off as are subsequent rows. It's hard to find a sequence from row to row to follow that alerts me that I'm off on my stitches. Is anyone else having a terrible time? I can't get past the first set. I keep having to rip out and restart-no easy task with 251 stitches on a needle. I'm trying once more and then will toss the pattern. Any suggestions!? Oh, I'm making the Bellevue Cardigan in Fingering Wt. yarn. That's one hard pattern to follow. Thanks Helen
